Community Rules
These rules describe how participants are expected to behave on Devdazzle. They apply to every part of the platform: profiles, listings, projects, messages, reviews, comments, and any other space where people interact.
Rules about what can be uploaded or sold are covered separately in the Content Policy. This page covers conduct.
Respect
Treat other people on the platform the way you would want to be treated.
- No harassment, threats, intimidation, or stalking.
- No hate speech or content that attacks people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics.
- No personal attacks during disagreements over a project, review, or transaction. Disagreements happen; how they are handled matters.
Disagreement about creative direction, scope, or quality is fine. Direct attacks on the other person are not.
Privacy of others
- Do not share another person's private information without their consent. This includes home address, phone number, private email, identity documents, or financial details.
- Do not publish private conversations from the platform messaging system in public spaces (reviews, comments, social media) to shame or harass another user.
- Do not impersonate another person, business, or organization.
Platform integrity
Activity on the platform should reflect real interactions between real people.
- No fake accounts. One account per person. Multiple accounts to evade a suspension, manipulate reputation, or bypass limits are not allowed. Disposable, temporary, or anonymized email addresses for account creation are not permitted.
- Accounts are personal. Accounts may not be sold, transferred, lent, rented, or shared with others. The account holder is responsible for all activity that takes place under their account.
- No fake activity. Do not buy, sell, exchange, or coordinate reviews, ratings, sales, follows, or comments. This includes asking friends to leave positive reviews without a real purchase.
- No vote brigading. Do not organize groups to mass-report, mass-downvote, or mass-comment on a user, listing, or project.
- No misrepresentation. Do not claim someone else's work as your own. Do not use stock images or third-party renders as previews of your work without disclosure. Disclose AI-assisted or AI-generated work where it materially affects what is being sold, commissioned, or showcased; selling AI-generated work as hand-crafted is misrepresentation.
Off-platform manipulation
The platform's payment, escrow, and dispute systems exist to protect both sides.
- Do not move a transaction off the platform to avoid commission, taxes, or platform protections.
- Do not contact buyers, sellers, clients, or freelancers outside the platform for the purpose of bypassing a transaction in progress.
- Do not solicit payment through methods that are not supported by the platform.
Casual professional contact outside the platform (for example, exchanging social media handles after a completed project) is between the two parties. Bypassing an active order is not.
Communication
The messaging system is for matters related to the platform: project briefs, deliveries, support, and similar.
- No spam, mass-messaging, or unsolicited promotional outreach to users you do not have business with.
- No phishing, fraud attempts, or links to malicious sites.
- No requests for sensitive information you do not need (passwords, identity documents, payment credentials).
Reviews and reputation
- Reviews must reflect a real transaction and the reviewer's own experience.
- Do not pressure, threaten, or offer compensation to influence a review.
- Sellers and freelancers must not retaliate against buyers or clients for leaving honest feedback.
Reporting
If you see behavior that breaks these rules, report it. Use the report option on the relevant profile, listing, project, message, or review. For copyright issues, use the Copyright Report form. For other matters, you can also email [email protected].
Reports are reviewed by our team. We do not share the identity of the reporter with the reported party.
Enforcement
When a rule is broken, the action we take depends on what happened and what came before. Possible actions include:
- A warning and a request to remove or change the content.
- Removal of the content, listing, project, or review.
- Restrictions on specific features (messaging, listing, payouts).
- Temporary suspension of the account.
- Permanent removal from the platform and forfeiture of access to associated content.
Serious cases (fraud, threats, child safety, large-scale manipulation) result in immediate removal without prior warning.
After a permanent removal, creating a new account on the platform is not permitted. Any subsequent accounts identified as belonging to a removed user will be removed without further notice.
Our enforcement decisions are recorded with the user account. Repeated minor issues can accumulate into more serious action over time.
Appeals
If your account is restricted or removed and you believe it was a mistake, reply to the notification you received or email [email protected]. Include your username and a brief explanation. We will review the decision and respond by email.
Changes to these rules
These rules will evolve as the platform grows. The effective date above reflects the most recent version. Material changes will be announced in advance through the platform.
